A place to play and learn
Parents Morning Out
Our PMO program offers a nurturing environment for toddlers encountering their first peer group experiences. This program is available for children ages eighteen months through twenty-three months of age and meets from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday of each week.
5 Year Olds
Children in this program routinely turn five years old after September 30 and before December 31 of the same calendar year. Students whose birthdays fall outside the stated parameters may apply to this program at the discretion of the director. Participation in all classroom projects and activities are guided by individual skills and abilities and the curriculum is appropriately challenging. Classes meet from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
Preschool
The preschool classes are available for children ages two years through four years. All four year old classes prepare children for a positive Kindergarten experience. Classes begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 12:00 p.m., with the exception of the 5 Day 4 Year-old Extended Day class which meets from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Children must turn the appropriate age for the desired class no later than September 30. Students in the three-year-old classes and older must be toilet trained.
Kindergarten
The Kindergarten Program is offered to all children who turn five before September 30. The curriculum in this class is age appropriate and prepares children for first grade in public and private schools. This program satisfies, at a minimum, all the Standards of Learning for Kindergarten in the State of Virginia. The Kindergarten curriculum is child-centered and project oriented. It allows for each child to develop uniquely into a “Can-Do” learner in a secure and nurturing atmosphere. This class meets from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
